- Is it really free to start?
- Yes, and there is no card and no trial clock. A free account gets 15 new practice questions a day, every day, with the answer and the explanation after each one. Re-opening a question you have already seen never counts against the 15, so going back over your mistakes is unlimited.
- What do I get if I pay?
- The daily cap comes off, so you can work through the whole question bank at your own pace, and mock exams open up: 75 questions in 90 minutes weighted across all seven exam topics, as many times as you want. Each one gives you a Readiness Score, a score for every topic, and an explanation for every question you missed. Spaced review, flashcards, the skills-test step guide, the state registration checklist, the CV builder and the practice interview are included too.
- Is this really a one-time payment?
- Yes. $9.99 buys 99 days of Full Access. There is no auto-renew and no recurring charge, and nothing is stored to bill you again. When the 99 days end you can buy another block if you want to, or not.
- Will this guarantee I pass my state exam?
- No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. No study tool controls what happens in your test centre. What this does is let you practise the kinds of questions your exam asks, in the format it uses, and the Readiness Score tells you where you actually stand rather than how you feel.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. If you do not pass your state HHA exam we refund the $9.99. You will need to have sat three or more mock exams, scored 75% or better on at least one, and sent us your official score report within 14 days of the exam. You request it from your dashboard.
- What if my state has different requirements?
- The question bank covers the topic blueprint shared across most state HHA exams, which is the large majority of what any of them ask. We do not currently offer a state-specific simulator, and where your state adds its own requirements on top you should check those with your training programme.
- How good is the Spanish version?
- It is a real translation with proper clinical Spanish, not machine output. Terms like hemiparesia, hipotensión ortostática and úlcera por presión are checked to read the way a nurse would say them rather than word-swapped from English. Questions, mock exams and the study material are all translated, and you can switch language at any time without losing your progress.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. PassHHA runs in your browser, and it works on a phone. If you want it to behave like an app, open it in Safari or Chrome and tap Add to Home Screen: it then launches full screen with its own icon, with no app store and no download.
- How long before the exam should I start?
- That depends on where you are starting from, and the honest answer is that we cannot tell you a number that would be true for everybody. What we can say is that the 25-question quick mock is free and takes half an hour, so the cheapest way to find out is to sit one and look at the result.
